Drawing on the Glyptotek, Sensual Strokes Hold 1
Dantes plads 7, 1556 København V | Raadvad 40, 2800 Kongens Lyngby
Sensual Drawing on the Glyptotek
4 Thursday Evenings
September 25, 9,16,23 October
It is open to anyone who wants to develop their line in new experimental ways and enjoy the exotic oasis and culture of the Glyptotek.
Each time there will be a program of short and slightly longer drawing exercises. We study shapes and lines very closely so that the shapes dissolve and can perhaps be seen in completely new and more abstract ways and a little further away from other exciting angles... There will be meditative presence exercises, new ways of holding the pencil, turning and turning the paper in the process, working layer upon layer, free shading exercises and exciting light and shadow exercises. It is drawing with a more abstract and free approach to studying the shapes, lines and faces. Both joint exercises and individual drawing and guidance.
From here on, we draw either in specific spaces such as in the Rodin Hall or in the Palm Garden, etc. We take a closer look at an artist and let ourselves be inspired by the line and the dynamics of their strokes based on meditative experiences from the works. It can be e.g. Degas, Bonnard, Van Gogh or Cezanne. We should not, as such, draw like them, but study a picture and select some characteristics that inspire. It could be Degas's hatches and movement, Bonnard's lyrical and imperfect free strokes, Gauguin's simplified forms and faces, etc., and the very energy and expression of the works. There is a buffer date of October 30, if I should I have to cancel once.
You decide for yourself whether you want to cultivate a very abstract and free approach or a more figurative path.
Bring an A3 drawing pad and pencils.
You have to stand for an annual card yourself (from 150-295, -)
It is open to everyone and you can benefit from joining several teams to get more immersion. There are always new angles in drawing and in the artists we let ourselves be inspired by. There are always new exciting themes, artists and drawing experiments on each team.

About Sofie Børsting
